Accounting and Tax Senior analyst

Job Description

Execute and monitor accounting and tax operations, ensuring accurate financial records, timely tax compliance, proper accounting and tax reconciliations, and effective support for audits and management reporting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
Proficiency in ERP systems (Microsoft F&O as a plus) and Microsoft Excel.
Solid experience in accounting, taxation, and financial reporting.
Experience with accounting reconciliations, balance sheet analysis, and trial balance review.
Strong knowledge of local tax legislation and tax compliance requirements (AGT). Knowledge of direct and indirect taxes, including withholding taxes
Portuguese speaker, English as a plus
Good communication and teamwork skills, with ability to interact with management and cross-functional teams.
Experience supporting internal and external audits.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. High attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions and reporting.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

Perform and review accounting reconciliations, balance sheet analyses, and trial balance reviews.
Prepare accurate financial and management reports within established deadlines.
Calculate and monitor direct and indirect taxes, including withholding taxes, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation.
Prepare, validate, and submit tax returns and statutory obligations required by AGT.
Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documentation.
Support internal and external audits by providing timely and accurate information.
Monitor changes in tax legislation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Assist in tax planning and risk management activities.
Coordinate with finance, controlling, and other departments to support business operations.
Provide operational guidance and support to the accounting and tax team.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting procedures.
