Description
A Safety Officer / HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, offshore procedures, and environmental policies. This role is critical for protecting personnel, equipment, and the environment on rigs, vessels, and offshore platforms.
The HSE Officer acts as the primary advisor on safety matters, conducts audits, and supports operational teams in implementing safe work practices.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
Monitor and enforce offshore safety policies, procedures, and regulations
Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments
Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, and emergency drills
Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions
Maintain records of safety incidents, inspections, and training
Advise management on corrective actions and risk mitigation
Ensure environmental compliance in operations, waste management, and spill response
Support crews in safe lifting, rigging, and handling operations
Requirements
HSE or Safety Officer certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent)
Must have all offshore required documents (Covid 19 Certificate, Bosiet, Seamans Book, Valid Offshore Medical)
