The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Training & Certification team is seeking a driven, talented, and experienced Digital Skills Programs Manager who defines, drives and delivers complex AWS technical education programs and projects to support our customers and partners in developing a skilled workforce and to increase the AWS educational footprint on the EMEA market.

Here is your chance to join the AWS Training & Certification team working in the highly visible role of Digital Skills Programs Manager - EMEA. In this role you will be planning, building and executing education programs and projects that leverage international and/or government skills strategies and help to develop adult learners into skilled cloud IT professionals.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Plan, implement and manage internal and customer facing education programs
- Execute educational pilot projects and transfer these into production
- Engage, develop and manage relationships with government policy stakeholders
- Define and manage partnerships across variety of external stakeholders, including non-profit organizations, employment agencies or education institutions
- Develop and implement program/ project management tools and processes
- Manage budget
- Coordinate project v-teams
- Measure and report key program/project metrics
- Evaluate, document and present program/project progress and results
- Identify internal and external stakeholders and build a close working relationship




Basic Qualifications

· 5+ years of experience in the area of education, training and/or digital skills programs
· 5+ years of experience in public policy, government relations, policy outreach
· 3+ years of experience in managing World Bank/UNICEF/EU/Government funded education or training projects in the area of digital skills
· Practical knowledge and expertise in digital skills, education and training policies
· Proven experience in running education programs and/or projects incl. budget management
· Bachelors degree in education or social sciences or equivalent industry experience
· Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
· Proven experience in multinational environment and complex international project management
· Proficiency in English
· Good command of one other African language

Preferred Qualifications

· Knowledge of Amazon Web Services or Cloud Computing concepts
· Knowledge and/or experience of ICT/Digital industry landscape in Africa
· Knowledge and/or first experience in process analysis, market research and design
· Knowledge and/or first experience in change management
