To support the business marketing function by assisting with activities and projects linked to marketing strategies and objectives.

experience and qualifications

Minimum Qualification - Relevant Commercial diploma with specialisation in marketing management or a marketing focus area

Experience - 1-2 years’ relevant experience

Matric Drivers licence and own reliable vehicle Minimum 3 years’ experience in events and marketing, as asponsorship/promotions/marketing coordinator orsimilar Understanding of social media for branddevelopment Good writing skills Experience in briefing and managing creative and other agencies Planning and managing budgets Understanding of volunteering and CSI Advantageous: Marketing/PR degree/diploma preferable Experience in sports sponsorship Experience working with City's eventsdepartment and event health and safety


Proactive participation in marketing and business innovation, product awareness, marketing campaigns, etc.

Continuously assess own performance, seek timely and clear feedback and request development where appropriate

Produce relevant, accurate and appropriate content according to marketing and communication objectives

Project manage the coordination and/or delivery of event projects in accordance with the business, marketing and events plans

Manage professional relationships with third party suppliers/partners and oversee final delivery and standards of said suppliers/partners, as guided by centre marketing guidance and governance

Ensuring that work done fits with the budget parameters and reporting on financial aspects of delivery

Gather and disseminate accurate and timely information to all relevant stakeholders throughout the business and broadcast media

Ensures that necessary design criteria and standards are adhered to in the development of material

Comply with processes required in terms of legislative and audit requirements in marketing

Provision of an efficient administration service through careful and timeous planning, reporting and updating of all related information

Coordinate the implementation of a collection of marketing projects by ensuring business requirements are met and progress reports submitted
