As a recognized authority and leading contributor within their practice, this senior-level consulting position provides consistent high quality and innovative solution leadership to a project team. Leads the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget.



Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle solution meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen. Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to deliver functional and technical solutions on non-routine and very complex aspects of applications and technology installations. Provides direction and mentoring to project teams, and effectively influences customer leadership on key decisions. Supports the business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the consulting sales team by providing domain expertise. Resolves complex customer issues by recommending and implementing solutions. Demonstrates expertise in multiple business processes across two or more product families or ability to architect and design technology solutions encompassing multiple products and make decisions based on impact across the stack.



8-10 years of experience relevant to this position including 4 years of consulting experience. Prior team leadership or management experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Strong influencing and negotiation skills. Ability to travel as needed.

The vacancy is for a seasoned Engagement Manager who will be responsible for the delivery of the implementation of our Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA) Suite for Governance, Risk and Compliance across South Africa, Central Africa and North Africa with major clients, as well as ongoing customer development / management and identification of new project opportunities.

Leads the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated solutions within constraints of time and budget.

As a position of technical/professional influence, this individual frequently operates at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies enhancements to Oracle products to meet very complex customer needs. Exercises creativity and independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to deliver functional and technical expertise on a wide range of business and technology solutions. Leads experienced consulting teams on challenging projects; works on significant and unique issues. As a thought leader and trusted advisor, effectively influences difficult decisions at the leadership-level of customer organizations. Enables business development efforts by providing subject matter expertise. Resolves very complex customer escalations. Drives customer process direction and decisions by providing domain leadership within relevant industries on end-to-end enterprise solutions. Creates new solution sets based on assessment of industry needs, market demands and knowledge of competitive product offerings.
Experience and qualification required
Certified in one of the project management frameworks such as Prince 2, PMI, PMP or MSP
Knowledge of SDLC and/or agile delivery i.e. Scrum, RUP or Spotify
10+ years of experience relevant to this position including 5 years of consulting experience.
Exposure to solutions in the areas of banking analytics, Financial Crime and Compliance, GRC and / or Enterprise Risk Management.
Experience of managing complex projects with offshore, nearshore and onshore deployment models and fully distributed
Experience of implementing third party solutions or managing software vendors on such implementations will be an added advantage
Knowledge on the Risk and Finance domain related to the banking industry.
Management or team leadership experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to lead large teams. Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
Should be willing to travel within and outside Africa as required.
