Our well established clinical company based in Johannesburg is looking for a motivated, passionate and mature Dispatch Clerk to handle all inventory control and responsibilities related to stock control. Strong administrative skills, must have Pastel experience and be willing to work in a warehouse.
A Dispatch Clark is responsible for all movement and corrective distribution of products to and from our warehouse including orders received from suppliers as well as orders delivered to the company clients.
Responsible for coordination with the financial support team of all international supplier stock ordered and received by the company.
Responsible for incoming stock received including inventory delivered against the order quantities to ensure that all items have been received.
Ensure that all items received are not damaged or tampered with before acceptance of the delivery.
Ensure that all inventory is correctly stored in the warehouse and accompanied with quality control to avoid damages and/or loss of product.
Rotate inventory items to ensure that older inventory items are accessible for sale and that new inventory are stored in line with company guidelines.
Ensure that all incoming stock are checked, recorded and accounted for and the recorded into in line with stock management.
Inventory - Order Processing
Collection of all invoices ready for processing from the finance department in line with company policy daily cut off processing times.
Responsible for all picking, pulling and packing of invoices ready for shipping.
Ensuring that there is sufficient pre-made boxes, packaging and product safety control packaging available at all times.
Ensure that all
Processing of all orders confirmed for outgoing shipping.
Prepare packing slips and/or waybills in line with company guidelines
Responsible for the double check system in place within the company and where necessary seek assistance to ensure that every order is processes correctly with no error.
Ensure that all orders are ready for shipping in time for the daily collection of parcels from the courier company.
Ensuring all documentation is completed and followed in line with company guidelines.
Ensure that all/any orders that are collected by a customer or delivered to a customer is checked before taken and that all required documentation is signed for by the customer.
Stock Control & Coordination
Responsible for stock control of all inventory in the warehouse including daily, weekly and monthly stock take including spot checks and audits that may be required.
Coordinating with the finance department at all times
Coordinating with the finance department on all urgent or priority orders that may need to be processed.
Provide the finance department with all waybills and necessary documents that need to be files for recording purposes.
Notify the Financial Manager of any damaged or missing inventory.
Communicate with the Financial Manager on the adequate levels of inventory items to ensure that low stock levels are identified.
Check and report on inventory expiry dates and immediately notify the Financial Manager if there is any close to expiry items.
Ensure that the warehouse and your workplace are always maintained in a clean, orderly and hygienic manner at all times.
Manage all stationery and packing supplies that are needed in order to run the warehouse efficiently.
Ensuring that security of the warehouse is always maintained, screening access to the warehouse by any colleagues and refrain all access from any member of the public.
General inventory and administrative tasks as required.
- Good to excellent Computer Literacy
- Experience working with MS Office and Pastel
