Job Description Job purpose: An Instructional Designer / Learning Designer (ID) collaborates with a team led by a Manager to design and develop training content and instructor tools for a variety of learning formats based on established curriculum standards. The ID works as part of a team on design and development of materials to support instructor led training (ILT) and virtual led training classes (VLT), eLearning, videos, exams, and job aids. IDs design and develop ALL components for learning solutions including text, graphics, recorded speech, and animations.
Key Responsibilities Key accountabilities and decision ownership: (6 or 7 max)
• Works as a member of a team with other IDs led by a Manager to create media content to support learning products including drawings, charts, photos, animations, sound recordings, and videos in support of team learning product development.
• Creates and maintains Sage learning materials based on established Learning Services standards such as templates, process documentation, etc. to ensure quality, usability, consistency and effectiveness of learning products such as ILT, VLT, videos, exams, eLearning, and job aids.
• Solicits input and feedback from peers, stakeholders, customers, subject matter experts, etc., based on standard review processes.
• Works as part of a modified agile scrum team and fully participates in sprint planning, stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives with intelligence and enthusiasm with the highest regard for the team whether working locally or remotely.
• Follows process as needed and takes an active part in team engagement activities.
• Completes assigned stories and tasks on time with high quality.
• Complies with all backup and storage requirements to ensure the integrity of our learning products and source materials, protects our intellectual property, and complies with all company standards.

Skills, know-how and experience:
Must have: (5 or 6 Max)
• Ability to demonstrate creativity with learning content.
• University degree educated or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrable ability in the creation of images, charts, photos, animations, and videos for learning.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, eLearning, video, audio, and virtual learning technologies.
• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills, shows initiative and works well in a team-based environment.
• Exceptional knowledge of the English Language and grammar.
• A strategic thinker, results-oriented, and shows a strong orientation towards outstanding customer service with a complete willingness to accept accountability for results.
• Strong Sage product knowledge (Sage 50cloud Accounts/ Sage 50cloud Payroll)
Preferred:
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.
• Experience with Articulate Storyline 3.
• Can supply a portfolio of outcome based earlier work.
• Attainment of one or more Sage certifications is a plus.

Key performance indicators:
• Total global revenue target to assigned education programs.
• Overall customer satisfaction target for assigned education programs.
• On-time delivery of education programs relative to supported product release timing.
