Account Manager- (Car) at AutoTrader, Gauteng, South Africa.

General Purpose

Achieve sales revenue target through a combination of acquiring new customers as well as upsells and retention of your Customer base within your area through personally selling the full range of products to the motor industry dealers. You will be required to meet very specific sales objectives, while maintaining a high level of customer service both internally (other departments) and externally (customers), whilst actively living out the corporate value system.

Please note that this role is on a six-months fixed term contract. Also note, this area comprises of 2 regions being Port Elizabeth as the primary region and East London, and will require the candidate to live in Port Elizabeth and to travel to East London bi-weekly.

What you will be doing:

To achieve all sales revenue targets through:

Focus on the diagnostic selling process across your customer base by implementing all phases of the sales process at executive level and with the relevant decision makers. Complete within the specified deadlines to ensure value is created.

Increase dealer yield by continually selling your customers up the product staircase

Increase customer numbers by developing new business through new customer

Focus on pipeline creation by constantly building relationships with new customers to maximize opportunities for revenue growth

Identifying and qualifying prospects through cold calls and outbound hunting.

Maintain CRM system

Who we’re looking for:

Minimum 3 years experience in solution driven sales

A persuasive selling ability

Good presentation skills

Good command of the English/Afrikaans language


Quick thinker and ability to make decisions

Good analytical skills

Understanding digital terminology i.e.: SEO; Adwords etc.

Work independently
